How did you personally
get into using the Macintosh family of computers?
Went to buy a computer to run my business. Sat down at a DOS machine and after about thirty minutes said "to hell with this!" Salesman showed me a Mac Plus. I was hooked. I have owned 8 macs. Still have my Plus. (We have it in the office running a game of 'Pong'.)
*Status: Well, I think of myself as an Evangelist of the power of computing and the ease of the Mac in providing that power.

When did you get your first modem? Don't remember - but it was lightning fast, cost a mint and ran at 9600 baud.
Who did you call first? A client - to transfer files.
Present Occupation: Designer / Photographer / Daddy.
Claim to Fame: Shanna, Michaila, Alissa (my daughters).
Dream Job: Creating "look and feel" studies for major corporations with entirely way too much money to spend.
Not So Random Thoughts...
Was there ever a time in your life that you had to "Think Different?" What was the situation and what did you do?
My goodness. As a professional photographer for 16+ years and designer for over 10, I try to think different as much as I can. We concept from the baseline of "What would be the craziest way to design / shoot / present the subject. Once, I had to shoot swimsuits for a catalog house in LA. The models were booked and the weather was supposed to be fantastic. I'm sure it was... somewhere, not at Zuma Beach that morning. Rain, wind and blowing sand. The client wanted to scrap and wait 3 days. If that happened, i was out another peachy job that quite frankly paid a whole lot more. My assistant and I huddled and and I was about to throw in the towel (and the lucrative job) when I thought. Why not make the weather the focus of the shoot. Beautiful swimsuits - no where to go. Editorial. I talked the fashion editor into trying a test shot and we took the whole troop up to the Winnebago we had rented for the day. Set up some lights and shot a few Polaroid's of 'bored looking models waiting for the weather to break". The shots were a hit. We did the job and made the next shoot.
Think different? Yeah, all the time.
How has using the Macintosh computer changed your life?
It opened a career choice that I would not have had. I love Multi and New Media. I compose music, photograph, write, design and just love art. Without the Mac, I would not be able to do the things that I do now. I love my life - and a big part of where I am and what I do is based around these machines.
What is the weirdest thing in your office right now?
A clarinet with no B-flat key.
My Passions are:
Music (Opera, Jazz, Classical).
If you could have dinner with one person dead or alive who would that person be and what would you ask them?
I have few heroes. But I have one above all others. Mohammed Ali. My question: At what point did you realize that you had won? Not at boxing, at life?
Do you play a musical instrument and/or are you in a band?
Drums, Vibes, Piano. Not in a band. Thinking of starting one (jazz quartet).
When I grow up I want to be:
Able to know what I want; know when I've got it; know what to do with it.
The question never asked:
Ya know -- our logo seems a little big there on the page, could you make it smaller and be a little more whimsical in your design? Hmmm? Could you?
