Harmoni

picture of Harmoni

Yes, my name really is Harmoni; and yes, it's really spelled with an "i" at the end. Finally, as an adult, I like my name! It was a lifelong journey -- when I was in those (not always easy) teen years, being teased again and again about my name; I wasn't always so sure I'd arrive here. I'm a happy-go-lucky kinda gal who enjoys everything from quiet afternoons at home to roller coasters... and everything in-between.. =)

How did you personally
get into using the Macintosh family of computers?
I guess I would qualify as a converted PC user, although I was never passionate about PCs - I was famous for loosing files or messing up directories, fun stuff to fix! I started working at APS Technologies and they showed me how simple and powerful the Mac is - I've been hooked ever since...
Status: I believe I'm somewhere between an evangelist and geek.... Nothing beats a good conversation about Mac hardware!!!
First Mac:
Performa 6300 picture
604e200 clone
Current Mac:
PowerBook G3
PowerBook G3/266mHZ.
When did you get your first modem? My first Mac came with a 56k modem, and I got it (or it got me depending on how you look at it) in 1997.
Who did you call first? Because I had already experienced the net via PC, I had gone down the AOL alley before - with my Mac, the first (and only) ISP I've used is Concentric!!! - They're awesome!

Not So Random Thoughts...
Was there ever a time in your life that you had to "Think Differently?" What was the situation and what did you do?
Everyday of my life I think differently. I learned to drive in California, and to say the least, here in FL, they drive quite differently. Things like driving in the fast lane going 30 mph slower than the rest of traffic.... people do things like this everywhere, but seems like it's more pronounced here... I chuckle about it, and go around them... =)
How has using the Macintosh computer changed your life?
A whole world opened up that I would have never been able to experience if I didn't use Macintosh. I have a strong computer hardware background, but when it came to using the software, I was totally lost. I found a great resource of online help at Talk City. #Computer-MacTalk is the name of the chat room where (to make a long story short) I not only found excellent Macintosh tech help, I also found my mate.
What is the weirdest thing in your office right now?
That would have to be my husband... <eg>
My Passions are:
I'm passionate about a lot of things, but they are all connect by one idea: Being happy. Life is short, I want to make the best of every moment I have.
If you could have dinner with one person dead or alive who would that person be and what would you ask them?
My Dad... I have questions to ask that I should have asked when he was alive.
When I grow up I want to be:
The very best person I can be.
The question never asked:
"Would you like your change in $100 or $500 bills?" (I'd love to ponder this one tho!)
