I'm a happily married, almost forty guy who is doing just what he wants to do and loving life!!!

How did you personally
get into using the Macintosh family of computers?
Heh . . . My wife and I bought a 6116 at Sears . . . it was the "Bring Learning Home Bundle!" It worked!!!
Status: hmmm . . . definately a user and evangelist . . . not learning enabled enough to be a hacker, nor disabled enough to be a dweeb . . . my friends are starting to tell me I'm becoming a geek, but I keep telling them it can't be so . . . Luminary? heh . . . "wannabee" :) . . . definately hopeful (what is hopeless gonna get ya?) Compared to a guy with a crew cut, I'm a bigwig. But its all real, still curly, and limited in grey.*
First Mac:
Performa 6110 picture
That 6116!
Current Mac: 9600/350 (and the 6116 still goes strong with the rest of the family. . .)
When did you get your first modem? Came with first mac.
Who did you call first? EWorld . . . sadly transferred to AOL . . . alas, I'm a newbie ;-)
Present Occupation: Graphics, Web Design and a variety of other hats at Virtual Café and Design, Rutland VT
Claim to Fame: Taught myself enough to transition from the restaurant world to the above after a purchase at Sears!!! Umm . . I make *great* kids . . . I do a mean "Mick Jagger: and am a local entertainer of sorts in my own right.
Dream Job: All of the above.
Not So Random Thoughts...
Was there ever a time in your life that you had to "Think Differently?" What was the situation and what did you do?
I do it daily . . check back often ;-)
How has using the Macintosh computer changed your life?
Ummm . . . see above?
What is the weirdest thing in your office right now?
Two pictures of Frank Zappa, taken from The New Yorker and framed. In one he has his middle finger up his nose and in the other he is pulling down on the area under his left eye with his index finger . . .. no . . .no . .no. . . that's not it . . it's the amnihook (a birthing tool sovenier from our last child). . . The Dr. said he'd never had so much fun . . .
My Passions are:
Family, Macs, Music, Friends, Food, Life . . .
If you could have dinner with one person dead or alive who would that person be and what would you ask them?
Probably my facter
Do you play a musical instrument and/or are you in a band?
Well, as I said I do a pretty good Jagger (I've taken him out in a jock, white tights, football pants, capiezios, kneepads and a red tank top at the Wobbly Barn and the Pickle Barrell in Killington VT . . . ) though nowadays, I tend to play as I feel and not all that often. I have a Washburn acoustic and a Fender Strat with a Boss GL-100 guitar driver, ART fxr effects unit, alesis compressor, tascam 4 track and Roland XP-50 music workstation. In school I sang, played drums and trombone, and I can also do bass guitar, a little fiddle . . . oh yeah . . . I do solo acoustic stuff with harmonica on a rack. It's an evolutionary thing . . .constantly changing in my approach or lack thereof for it.
When I grow up I want to be:
When I grow up?
The question never asked:
That last one . . . sheesh!
